In aid of the Charity Organisation Féileacáin
Our Baby Alex was born sleeping on the 16th of May 2023. As any parent that has been through the same experience will know, it is truly devastating. The Féileacáin charity were incredible and provided unwavering support and comfort to our family after our loss. From meeting us in the hospital and taking hand and footprints of Baby Alex, to regular meetings with constant support and reassurance, we will be eternally grateful to their hardworking team. We want to support them with their work and channel our grief into something positive, in honour of our much adored baby Alex. With the support of some great friends we came together and explored many options that we felt might create a lasting legacy resulting in the Peak To Pedal challenge being formed.
We would greatly appreciate any donation you can make.
On the 6th of July 2024, 16 volunteers aim to climb the highest peak in Ireland (Carrauntoohill) and cycle the 180km round trip of the beautiful ring of Kerry. A target of €50000 has been set, with all proceeds going to the charity Organisation Feilicain.
Féileacáin is a not for profit organisation that provides support to anyone affected by the death of a baby during or after pregnancy. Feileacain was formed by a group of bereaved parents to offer support to anyone affected by the death of a baby around the time of birth, and the organisation is now the national charity supporting families affected by perinatal loss.
Feileacain is a volunteer led organisation and receives no funding from central government, relying instead on the support of our community and the families who avail of our services.
